Daily 52- They got it all wrong!

(Question courtesy: ASAP SpEnt quiz conducted in Chennai on Oct 2nd 2009)
This arena was the world's first major indoor sports stadium with a retractable roof. Identify it, its nickname and why the home team's name is logically incorrect.
(This arena is going to be soon demolished and a new arena is going to prop up for the home team for the 2010-11 season)

Brilliant job by anand, Vinay and Kd.
Quoting one answer:

Mellon Arena (formerly the Civic Auditorium and Civic Arena, nicknamed The Igloo) is an arena in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. It primarily serves as the home to the Pittsburgh Penguins, the city's National Hockey League (NHL) franchise

Igloos are found in the Arctic and the Penguins in the Antarctic !! They are poles apart :)

  3. Mellon Arena's the name.
The Pittsburgh Penguins - The name "penguins" was chosen since they were expected to play in a stadium nicknamed the "igloo"!
